Member Identifcation Requirements

To conform with standard financial institution requirements we are required to identify each new member with:

  1. LEGIBLE photo identification and
  2. LEGIBLE secondary identification document confirming current address.

A FAXED copy of a driver’s licence as shown below IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.








Acceptable forms of photo identification will include:-


• Driver’s Licence (or permit), issued by an Australian state or territory. It must be LEGIBLE, current and be signed.
• Passport issued by the Australian Government. It must be LEGIBLE, signed and current (or expired within past two years).
• Foreign Passport issued by a foreign Government. It must be LEGIBLE, current and be signed.
• Proof of Age Card issued by an Australian state or territory. It must be LEGIBLE, current and be signed.

 

Acceptable secondary identification. These must include Given Name, and residential address. (P.O. Box address not acceptable.)
• Tax Assessment Notice
• Utilities Notice. (Electricity, rates, telephone, gas etc.)
• Bank Statements

 

Unless all documents are LEGIBLE, applications for membership and/or loans cannot proceed.

 

It is important to note that although we do not require these documents to be certified they all must be legible, including the photograph.
